Iron Man Outsourced to Fiji

by Robert Wood – Comic book writer
Marvel wants money. And there is no better way to improve revenues than licensing. A Made in Fiji five-dollar silver Iron Man Mask-coin with Fiji national symbols and Marvel’s logo does the trick

Anyway, the mask coin is 2 ounces, i.e. 66 grams of 99,9 % silver and 0,1 % impurities. It’s not a cool, shiny hi-tech mask from the future, but made to look antiqued. It is easy to imagine it is the kind of dusty coin future archeologists will find in a tomb long after Marvel Universe, Iron Man and the imaginary super heroes of the 20th century are long forgotten, and many of the mighty cities of the world today rest under 70 meters of melted polar icewater.
Perth Mint points out that the Iron Man Mask shaped coin is the first in a series of coins. Therefore, 2019 may bring an Iron Man Glove-coin, an Iron Man Cod-piece coin and certainly an Iron Man Chest-piece coin with a tiny pink diamond in the middle for the ultimate wealthy collector. ;-)
Face it…. The Iron Man Mask-coin is a collector gimmick made especially for the Marvel devotees and collectors of strange coins. It is a Limited mintage coin – 5000 masks. The value of the silver is U$D 30, and the price asked for the coin and the nice wrappings is U$D 175, EUR 150, NOK 1450  Perth Mint
