In days of old dice were made of bone, and in the late 13th century the expression was used by Chaucer in The Pardoner’s Tale. 

Dice come in many forms and shapes depending on the game you are playing. The small cubes are made out of ivory, wood, plastic and…. now Kitco will sell you a set of five silver dice for the neat sum of $ 325.-
   Each die is 14 mm (0,55”) and made of 925 Sterling silver. In other words, the four ounces of silver in the five dice are worth about $ 80. So, in this case you really don’t invest in the four ounces of silver (125 grams), but design and coolness.
